At the tender age of 14, I was forced into a marriage with a much older man, a cruel and domineering figure who ruled our household with an iron fist. The years that followed were a living nightmare, filled with physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

But amidst the darkness, a flicker of hope began to burn within me. As I grew older, I realized the true nature of the sect and the lies that had been fed to me all my life. I longed for a life of freedom and dignity, a life where I could make my own choices and pursue my own dreams.

With each passing day, my resolve grew stronger. I knew that if I wanted to escape, I had to do it on my own. And so, I began to plan my escape, one secret step at a time.

The journey was fraught with danger and uncertainty. I had to overcome重重obstacles, including the constant surveillance of my husband and the fear of being discovered. But I was determined to break free, no matter the cost.

One night, under the cover of darkness, I finally made my escape. With only a backpack filled with a few belongings, I fled into the unknown, leaving behind everything I had ever known.

The road to recovery was long and challenging. I had to grapple with the trauma of my past and learn to rebuild my life from scratch. But with the help of therapy, support groups, and the unwavering love of new friends, I slowly began to heal.

Today, I am a survivor. I am a voice for the countless women and children who are still trapped in polygamous sects. My story is a testament to the power of hope and the human spirit's ability to overcome adversity.

In this book, I share my harrowing journey in the hopes of shedding light on the hidden world of polygamy. I want to break the silence that surrounds this issue and empower others to break free from its clutches.
