About the Editors

Toyin Falola is the Frances Higginbotham Nalle Centennial Professor in History at the University of Texas at Austin. He is the author of over 100 books, including The History of Nigeria (with Matthew M. Heaton) and Africa: A History from the Earliest Times to the Present (with Albert Adu Boahen). Akintunde Akinyemi is a Professor of History at the Ohio State University. He is the author of The Yoruba Diaspora in the United States, 1830-1900.
